Sheriff Joe Arpaio is the creator of the “Tent City” in South Phoenix, Ariz. Made the 2,000 inmates wear pink underwear, live outside, sleeping on cots in old canvas tents.

Currently likes to question jailed people about their immigration status once they are in the station. Likes to detain suspected undocumented immigrants who haven’t committed state crimes, regardless of the change by asking their citizenship and social security number.
